Case Study 320F Sarah Aged 11

Bedwetting Bladder Infections Getting to sleep

The Problem

Mum had kept an advert from years ago and reported that Sarah had never been dry consistently at night, she had had many medical investigations and medication and numerous courses of antibiotics, and an acupuncturist had recommended reducing diary products.

The Treatment 3 sessions

Massage

Mum and Dad came with Sarah and were happy to learn massage for it to help her get to sleep. The next week Mum and Dad learnt some reflexology.

Nutrition
The family had advice on gut flora and bacteria, and how different foods affect the condition, and about pre-biotic foods and oat based breakfasts and supper to help. Some supplements were prescribed. Other sessions included support and suggestions of new foods and charts to help.

Imagery
The first session attended to bedwetting and Sarah’s sensitivity to people – practising a ‘custard pie ‘throwing where she inwardly refuses annoying comments. Mum and Dad were unhappy about how Sarah got on with her brothers, so some work was done on “car washing” her brother, and clearing her sensitivity to “being blamed” and for decreasing unhappy events and increasing happy events, and to access good memories more easily.

The Results

By the second session Sarah had been dry for a week. They scored three goals - bedwetting, being active, and getting to sleep all at 8/10 after three weeks. They all said that they wished they had come to Clover House sooner as they were so happy with the result. (They had had the form for 2 years).
