Though living only a mile or two away, I had never heard of Clover House’s existence until nine months ago. I was at a loss about where to find help for my son, who was suffering from severe anxiety following an extremely stressful year.
Call it what you will, divine guidance or just plain good luck, I was pointed in the right direction of Clover House by an acquaintance who knew of it existence. The moment we crossed the threshold, I felt the warmth, love and support that exude there. I knew we had found what we needed to help my son get well and, what’s more the support I needed to help him do so. Things weren’t plain sailing from that moment on, but the improvement thing was that Joshua and I felt support and love to help us through.
With nutritional advice from Carole, Joshua has learnt valuable information that will help him make informed choices about healthy living for the rest of his life, as well as how to tailor his diet in times of stress, to lesson symptoms of stress, anxiety etc.
My pre-adolescent son didn’t always readily accept Jills aromatherapy, but once we adopted a brief physiotherapy-type approach that became both ‘cool’ and therapeutic.
Bas identifies with children’s feelings in a way that seems quite miraculous to me. He seems to have an affinity with their feelings that is awesome. Through fun and magic and lots of well disguised therapy, my child seemed to find within himself that part that had gone astray.
It took months and was hard going at times, but he is now almost restored to the surely, burly lazy sort of individual that we know as normal! I never thought I would be thrilled about that!
Both Joshua and I would recommend the therapies at Clover house unreservedly. They are the missing link of unconditional love and care, which is missing in so many facets of modern society.
